Assemblymember Dr. Akilah Weber, MD was first elected to the Assembly in a Special Election in April of 2021. Dr. Weber represents the 79th Assembly District which includes La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Spring Valley/La Presa, and parts of the cities of El Cajon and San Diego. Dr. Weber serves as Chair of the Budget Subcommittee No. 1 on Health and Human Services.
